Mission Projects

Global Crossfire Church UK has a passion for Local and Global Mission Work.

Recently a new build, ‘Copperfields’, has been opened near to where GCC meet on Sundays. This is an assisted living facility conspiring of 49 flats for either single persons or couples. The church is seeking to help the residents in whatever way they can. In the meantime, the church engages in friendship evangelism.

As part of our mission project we have recently procured items of furniture, wheelchair and items such as toiletries for the residents in Copperfields who need them. Some of the residents are totally blind, others visually impaired or suffering from dementia. This is an on going project and we are glad to be able to serve the local community in these ways.

Food bank- The church regularly gives food items to the local food bank for those who are, for example, homeless or in a time of a social security benefit gap.

The recipients of the food are very grateful for the help received and, it is anticipated, that, in the run up to the Christmas period, there will be an inclusion of toiletries and more warm clothing (not normally collected).

Juapong and Kpotemy – this is an overseas Mission Project that the church embarks on. It is a social Intervention program that targets poor families mostly children, teens and women in deprived towns and small villages in Ghana. The church has acquired a site to set up a social service centre. In the interim the church caries out a mobile service at various sites in the two towns. Essential provisions including toiletries, clothing, shoes, baby items, stationaries, toys, hot meals etc.. are given out and salvation messages are preached to patrons who come to the centre.

The long term aim of the project is to empower local communities within that region of Ghana to be better equipped in daily life and in the progression of individuals/households in regards to personal life goals. This is done through counselling, advice etc.

We are grateful to individuals in the church and Pent Valley School for their on going support and also grateful to the organization, ‘In Kind Direct’ through whom we bought items such as toiletries, food, stationaries, baby products etc. at reduced cost and have been able to provide for the needy and carry out our mission projects.
