What We Believe

  • THE BIBLE

The Bible is divinely inspired in both Old and New Testaments, and is utterly trustworthy.

It is infallible in its’ declaration, the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct, and comprehensive in its’ sufficiency. (2 Tim 3:16)

  • THE TRINITY

The eternal Godhead exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are one God. (Hebrews 9:14).

  • GOD

God is sovereign in creation, revelation and the final judgement. (Jeremiah 32:17-19)

  • THE SAVIOUR

Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit, died an atoning death, and was raised from the dead. He ascended into heaven to the right hand of God the Father. (Romans 1:3-4, Ephesians 4:8)

Men are universally sinful and guilty since the fall of Adam and Eve (Romans 3:23). As a result, all are subject to God’s wrath and condemnation (Romans 6:23).It is only through the vicarious and atoning death of Christ, and the efficacy of the blood, that all who believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord can be saved from the penalty and power of sin(Romans 10:10, John 3:16). The redemptive work of the cross is both efficient and sufficient for our salvation. (Romans 5:1-2).

The sinner is saved by the grace of God through faith. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • THE HOLY SPIRIT

The power and work of the Holy Spirit is seen in the regeneration of man, and, through His indwelling in the believer, the ability to live a holy life. (Galatians 5:16)

  • THE BAPTIZER

Jesus Christ is the baptizer in the Holy Spirit. This experience, together with speaking in tongues, is promised to every believer.

  • THE HEALER

The Lord Jesus is the healer of the body and all who walk in obedience to His will can claim healing. (Matthew 8:16-17) The anointing with oil by church officials can be requested for healing prayer, where emphasis is on Prayer and power in the Name of Jesus. (James 5:14)

  • THE CHURCH

The church consists of all who have been born again by the Holy Spirit and made new creatures In Christ and He is the head of the church. (Ephesians 5:23) There is unity of all true believers, without respect of colour, nation, or social position.

Every believer should manifest the nine fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-3) and the church should manifest the nine gifts of the Spirit.(1 Corinthians 12:7-11)

  • MINISTRY

God has given Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and teachers for the work of the ministry and edifying of the church. (1 Cor 12:28)

  • THE ORDINANCES
  1. The Lord’s supper, viz the taking of bread and wine in memory of our Lord’s death, should be observed by all believers. These symbols of the Lord’s death should not be taken lightly, nor adored or worshipped. (1 Cor 11:28)
  2. Baptism by immersion for believers in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  3. Laying on of hands for the baptism of the Spirit and/ or praying and anointing the sick.
  4. Deliverance In the case of any persons tormented by an evil spirit, the yoke can be destroyed and broken through the power of the Holy Spirit.(Matt 8:16)
  • FINACIAL STEWARDSHIP

Tithes and offerings are offered according to the resources God gives. They are used for God’s work such as supporting kingdom business and providing for the needy.(Malachi 3:10-11)

  • MARRIAGE

This institution established by God is only between a man and a woman (Matt 19:8-9)

Fornication, adultery, polygamy and divorce are unacceptable to God, and, therefore, to His church.

  • THE NEXT LIFE

The Lord Jesus will personally return to this earth in the pre millennial period, in order to receive the church and to set up His throne as King.  (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

The saved and the unsaved will be resurrected; the saved to the resurrection of life and eternal bliss, the unsaved to the resurrection of damnation and eternal conscious punishment.(John 5:28-9)
